Do you think that the Scream movies are scary?

I don’t know why it is, but I get absolutely terrified when I watch any of the Scream movies(and I watch them A LOT since their my all time favorite horror/suspense movies)! The idea of a killer in that costume freaks the crap out of me. I LOVE the movies. Everyone else thinks they aren’t scary, but instead, actually funny! Maybe its just me, but I honestly think of Ghostface killing me way more than any other horror movie killer. So, do you think the Scream trilogy is scary? I’m 15 by the way.

Those Were the Days: How Halloween Used to be Celebrated Like in Good Old days

Autumn: the end of summer, and the beginning of the festive season for which every one of us waits throughout the years! The cool temperatures, the majestic mountains and the splendid landscapes all add their individual touches to enhance the beauty of the season. And in fact, all these are symbolic of something special that is about to arrive: yep, I am talking about Halloween.

It is something that children wait for throughout the year; after all, can they really forget about the ‘trick of treat’ method or that bag full of candies that they are going to get? In this article I will tell you how the present-day Halloween has changed drastically from the tradition.

Those were the days…the old timers would reminisce, when Halloween was celebrated in a much simpler way than now. As a matter of fact, ‘tricking or treating’ is not much in vogue now; it’s been replaced by lavish fancy dress parties. But the old timers would remember that there was a time when no one could even think of Halloween without the custom of ‘tricking of treating’, especially children for whom, it was like an excuse to eat candies to their hearts’ content!

In those days, children would go around the neighborhood to ‘trick’ their neighbors, and they were in turn treated with a warm smile and plenty of delicious goodies. Children used to collect those goodies in large brown bags that they used to carry with themselves. The goodies would range from apples to candies, popcorn balls, etc.

Back then, people didn’t spend too much money on costumes; they made them on their own. Children were usually the ones who used to get excited at the idea of creating scary Halloween costumes, and they would dig through the pile of the old clothes and other belongings of their parents in order to find suitable items for the costume!

Times have changed now. There is the difference of heaven and hell between the candies of then and now. Then, the candies were homemade and hence completely safe to take. Nowadays, you cannot put any candy in your mouth without inspecting it first for any sharp or harmful objects! There are so many stores displaying a vast range of Halloween costumes that children rarely need to make anything on their own. Nevertheless, some things have still not changed! The fun and excitement about the impending Halloween party is still there in the hearts of young and old alike, the scary part is also there in Halloween parties, and the spooky and ghoulish delicious Halloween recipes too haven’t left us!

Even though we have shifted a lot from tradition, the fun is still there, and that is what Halloween is all about, right?

what are your lo’s going as? hunter just turned 1 and he will be 13 months at halloween and he will be going as dumbo. i went to this great place called once upon a child, its a used childrens clothing store that buys all your used baby things. I sold some infant clothes and i got hunter a dumbo costume, authentic disney dumbo for 8 bucks!

Is it good to hide under someones bed?

I have this idea for a girl I used to go out with a long time ago. It is her birthday in April and I want to surprise her.

I am not sure how she still feels about me, but I left the country for a couple of years and lost contact with almost everyone, because I wanted to be left alone.

Anyway, she is a fan of horror movies, so I thought I would scare and impress her, by secretly entering her place (she knows only I know how to enter the place with a credit card). So I was thinking of hiding under her bed until she falls asleep then moaning softly till I hear her waking then be silent again.

Then after a couple of hours doing a really loud evil laugh and jumping on the bed while wearing a costume. Would this impress her or will she call the police?

Obviously I would take the mask off to let her know it was me and it was just a surprise.

How can I pull together a ‘Columbia’ costume to go to a Rocky Horror Picture Show screening?

Yeah, I’ve got about a month, but I’d rather make the costume with bits and bobs I find about than buy one online, which just seems dull and impersonal. So yeah, ideas on how to do that?

It depends on how accurate you really want to go, but you should easily be able to get a fairly accurate costume together. The main pieces you need are a sequined bustier/tube top, some high waisted shorts, a sparkly red bowtie, a sparkly top hat, sparkly tux jacket, tights, blue socks and sparkly mary janes.
I don’t know if you can sew, but even with the basics you could easily modify quite a few things to work out!
You should check a thrift shop because they tend to have weird stuff with sequins. If you could find the tube top you could easily attach some sequins to it. The black shorts need stripes of metallic ribbon, which you could also easily sew on, even by hand
Then if you got some red sequined ribbon you can make a bow tie out of that. The top hat could probably be found at party city, along with the tights, and maybe even the socks.
For the shoes you could easily get away with some plain black mary janes, but for an extra kick, you could glue sparkles onto them. The last thing is the sparkly jacket, which I’m really not sure about, but with just a yellow suit jacket you could add some sparkles and sequins and it should look fine.
The only thing now is to do your make-up and find a wig if you really want.

Couples Halloween Costume Ideas?

Ok so my husband and I are going to this halloween party hosted by are next door neighbour. We are lucky we were invited because we just moved in and don’t know anybody. We want to make a good impression and so we decided we could find something that goes together (Angel and Devil) stuff like that.
