My Husband and Our Boy Wanted Authentic Pirate Costumes
It’s really hectic around here with so much to do and halloween just around the corner. My family probably should have started planning months ago for all the decorating they want to do. My husband keeps ordering more and more Halloween decorations from the online store. He had decided on the crawling hand and some of the other décor suggestions he’s ran across. He’s been contemplating on a different costume this year. His costume last year was a werewolf. I’m not sure about this years costume. He loves halloween as much as the kids. Our son feels the same way about halloween. He plans to hit every house and fill bags of candy.
They spent so much time planning the decorations and their costumes. They are both into pirate movies of all kinds, especially “Pirates of the Caribbean.” So, I’m pretty sure that pirate costumes are on there minds. Our son was online yesterday skimming over the pirates costume selection. I think I might as well keep a look out for my husbands pirate costume plus a pirate costume for our son. I knew that eventually they would decide that mom needs a pirate wench costume or something similar. They were discussing pirate chests and something about a skull with a sword protruding from it. I’d say piracy was definitely in the air. You didn’t have to be a private detective to figure that one out.
Finally they confessed to me that they might be buying a couple of authentic pirate costumes for halloween. Surprise, surprise! So, now they could openly search out the perfect caribbean pirate costume for each of them. They each found a costume they considered like the pirates of the Caribbean and one that was a ghost. I don’t think either one of them really knew which they wanted to be. Every time they found a new male pirate costume they changed their choices. I knew from the way they were talking that I might as well start checking out the lady pirate costumes right away. I knew they would end up convincing me to join them.
There were some pretty cool womens pirate costumes to check out. I found a sexy one in the women pirate costume selection, and a couple of womens pirate costumes that would probably make her the captain of the ship. I have always considered myself the queenly type anyway. I think I should dress appropriately for taking over the ship. There are some neat accessories for a pirate themed Halloween. You can get a set of the nasty pirate teeth, hats and more. There’s also all kinds of stuff like boots and swashbuckling swords. Dressing up in a womens pirate costume sounds more and more cool with every accessory I find.
They weren’t happy until all of us were aboard their ship. They are choosing a costume for our bulldog too. I’m beginning to think my husband needs some serious therapy. But I got to admit, there are a lot of nice costumes for pets on this site. The costume does look pretty cute. There was a pirate hat and hook with the costume. Our son made a little eye patch for him that really completes the outfit. My husband was the captain and my son a rogue pirate. Now we were all set for Halloween night. They have already started putting up the decorations. They did put their best foot forward this year on decorations. It’s really looking fantastic. There was only one disagreement this year. My husband insists he’s the captain and our son feels that should be his position. But they both know who the real captain of this ship is.

halloween costume?
Well this year will mark my 4 year anniversity of scaring the crap out of little kids on my porch when they come to get candy. I’ve been having trouble figuring out what to wear. I’ve done Jason,Scream and a werewolf. what should I do this year. I was planning on keeping with the werewolf and throwing in some rubber arms and legs with fake blood every where. Will that be good enough?
lol – sounds good. the only other thing that i could think of would be to dress up as a headless zombie, and throw your head at them….
get a large coat / jacket from a charity shop, fasten it up so that your head is inside the coat. make a false head from paper mashe (get a head sized balloon, cover it in a mixture of PVA glue and strips of newspaper. give it about 3 layers, leave to dry, then paint). that way u could chuck your head at them. lol.
we have a house near us that always looks fantastic at Halloween. they have a soundtrack playing Halloween sound effects (u can buy the CD from branches of Wilkinsons), fake grave stones in the garden (painted polystyrene), cobwebs, and a big inflatable Frankenstein monster. all the kids love it.
have fun ! i think i will be sticking to my usual vampire outfit – don’t want to freak my little boy out too much !
