Vampire Costumes are one of the most searched for at this time of year and the list of Vampire films is still growing and as popular as ever, from the original black and white movie Nosferatu filmed in 1922 and said by many to be the scariest of them all to more modern versions such as Bram stokers Dracula (1992) most of us have a favorite, here's a view of the Vampire Costumes available for 2009.
The earliest tales of Vampires were from 19th century Bohemia in eastern Europe, with the first writings of what we now know as Vampires or Dracula being around 1897 by Bram Stoker.
Most of today's modern vampire Costumes come from the many films produced for big screen and TV, Christopher Lee starred in the Hammer horror films starting in 1958 , Christopher Lee quickly became the face of Dracula at the time, more modern films include Fright Night in 1985,with Bram Stokers Dracula eventually being brought to life in 1992 and Lost Boys (1987).

Yes, the Nosferatu movie is incredibly creepy. Maybe it’s because it is in black and white and the picture quality is poor and grainy by modern standards. Or maybe because it is a silent movie. These elements deprive the viewer of some of his/her primary senses so he/she feels vulnerable. I saw a mockumentary of the making of the movie and it claimed that the Nosferatu character was a real person that they used to visit and bribe with human blood so that he would make the movie. Not true however, he was just an actor.
